The article focuses on aspects of education of people during their late adulthood. Demographic changes in European countries show a growing population of older persons. Poland also belongs to the group of such countries. Modern androgogics must cope with a new challenge being the education of senior citizens which might be analyzed in two following contexts: subjective and social. Principles of education of elder person s do not differ significantly, from methodology of pedagogical work in earlier development phases of people. Nevertheless a teacher of elder people should possess special sensitivity and wide range of meta-abilities o[ work with other persons. The education of senior citizens has established itself in andragogics and more and more attention is given to an adult student.
